This policy explains what Washington Bed Bug Solutions does with information you give us. The short version: this site has no contact form, so the only information we collect is what you tell us on the phone. We pass it to licensed pest control companies so they can quote your job, and we do not sell it to advertisers or data brokers.
Information we collect
There is no enquiry form on this site and no newsletter signup, so we collect nothing by those routes. What remains is this.
- What you tell us on a call. Typically your name, ZIP code, property type and a description of your pest problem. You choose what to say; nothing is required beyond enough to route you to a company that covers your area.
- Call records. Calls are handled through a telephony provider, and basic records — the number you called from, the time and the duration — are created as part of connecting the call.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, as essentially all web servers do, for security and reliability purposes.
We do not ask for and do not want financial account details, government identification numbers, or health information. Please do not send them.
How we use it
We use what you tell us for a single purpose: connecting you with licensed pest control companies that cover your ZIP code so they can contact you about the work. We also use aggregate, non-identifying information about which pages people read to improve the site.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it to data brokers, marketing lists or lead aggregators outside the pest control referral described here.
Who we share it with
We share what you tell us with licensed pest control companies serving your area, which is the entire point of the call. Those companies contact you directly and handle your information under their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
We also rely on two service providers who process information on our behalf: the telephony provider that connects calls, and our hosting provider. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect against fraud, abuse or a threat to someone's safety.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies at all. Every page is static HTML with no third-party embeds, no analytics script and no advertising tracker, which is a consequence of having no form to protect against duplicate submissions. Nothing here follows you to another site.
Your browser gives you control over cookies through its own settings, including blocking them entirely. Blocking them changes nothing about how this site behaves.
How long we keep it
We keep call details for as long as needed to connect you with pest control companies and handle any follow-up, and then for a limited period afterwards for record-keeping and dispute resolution. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, it is deleted. Server logs are retained on our hosting provider's standard schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to do three things at any time, and we will act on the request without charge.
- Tell you what we hold about you and where it came from.
- Correct it if it is wrong.
- Delete it, subject to any records we are required to keep. Note that we cannot delete information already passed to a pest control company — you would need to ask them directly, and we will tell you who received it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights over your personal information. We apply the choices above to everyone who asks, regardless of where they are.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Because there is no form, no personal information is ever transmitted through this website at all — it reaches us only by telephone. Our service providers maintain their own security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise — which is another reason not to send us financial or identification details.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging pest control for a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information by phone, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Where we link to outside resources — statutes, tenant advocacy organisations, public health information — those sites operate under their own privacy policies. We link to them because they are useful, not because we control them.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
